The adorable moment a rascal tiger cub at Russian zoo endlessly pesters his mother by climbing on her face as she tries to nap
While tigers are hardly known for their patience, this young mother has proven it’s possible after she displayed remarkable restraint to put up with the incessant provocations of her newborn pup.
The enthusiastic white Bengal pup was pictured running amok as he clawed and jumped all over his forlorn mother as she tried to doze in the sun.
The touching series of photographs – revealing that a tiger’s motherly instincts are not all that far removed from our own – were recently taken at a zoo in Russia.

The sprightly youngster played up to the crowds who had descended on Novosibirsk Zoo in Russia to catch a glimpse of the rare animals – one of two newborns.
Russian photographer Alexander Lukin, 31, captured the hilarious sequence during one of the as-yet-unnamed cub’s earliest appearances in the public eye.
He said: ‘The tiger cub was a real nuisance. I had a feeling that the behaviour of this couple was too much like humans. The cub did whatever he wanted – jumping on his mum’s head.
‘And it was seen that the tigress was not happy at all, but put up with her son’s bad behaviour.
‘Just like people when we love our kids so much we close our eyes to their bad behaviour, this tiger mother seemed to do the same.’
Mr Lukin, a professional freelance photographer from Novosibirsk, a 3,300 mile drive from Moscow, regularly visits the zoo to document the two newborn cubs’ upbringing.
He said: ‘These tigers don’t have much chance of survival in the wild.
‘In the pictures we can see only one cub, but there have been two newborns. It was almost the first appearance of the club with its mother Zaya, who had just started walking him outside.
‘This boy cub is very playful and curious.’
